The Briard Medical Trust Honors its Donors

The BCA Health and Education Trust, doing business under the name of Briard Medical Trust, ended its inaugural year on December 31, 2005.  Although this was a short year, with the trust having been established in August of 2005, our members and friends have shown their generosity through individual donations, many in memory of beloved Briards, and donations in excess of dues directed to the trust. The BCA made the initial donation to the trust which allowed us to complete the IRS application process. We would also like to thank Mrs. Patricia Hastings for donating a potion of the sales proceeds from her and Erin Ann Rouse's book, "Another Piece of the Puzzle" Puppy Development." According to its preface, the book was primarily inspired by an article on puppy rearing and training written by long time BCA member and breeder Kathy Lanam and published in the BCA magazine, DewClaw. It was Kathy's suggestion that these proceeds go to Briard health. We thank the BCA for directing these funds to the Briard Medical Trust.
